Change of Plans
It's official. Today Sam accepted an internship offer with Lockheed Martin, a defense contractor with offices in Colorado Springs. We had originally planned to sweat our summer away in Houston where Sam was to work for a big oil company, but when I got pregnant we decided to look around a bit more. We feel so blessed to have received two great offers, especially with the economy the way it is right now. We feel like the opportunity to move to Colorado Springs is an answer to our prayers as we will have insurance and be closer to family. The company wants to hire Sam on permanently in December when he graduates so when we move down in a few weeks, we won't be coming back. Sam will just commute back for his last semester of school and we will get the opportunity to put down some roots and finally make a home for ourselves. The light at the end of the education tunnel is getting brighter and brighter. Yahoo!!

HOw exciting! Colorado Springs has a lot to offer. Congrats on getting a great offer!
Congrats again. That book I was telling you about was recommended by a friend of mine who has a mini review on her blog. It's http://homespunlight.blogspot.com/2009/03/before-green-gables-by-budge-wilson.html
If that doesn't work the book is called Before Green Gables, by budge wIlson
I'm assuming it's great. She's also a green gables girl.
Wow I didn't realize that you guys were so close to being done with school. I am so excited for you to set down "roots". We need to come visit you guys sometime. YEAH no more school soon.
I am so glad you are not going far away! That is totally close enough to visit and there are lots of fun things to do with little kiddos in C.S.! I think you will like it there. Yea!
Congratulations on the new job and the big move. Wayne was offered a job in Colorado Springs back in ancient times...1980. We liked the city, but not the job, so here we are in MN. It is a beautiful area and lots to explore.
Maybe we will have to come visit you sometime! Love you and miss you!
That is great! I am so excited that you guys don't have to move far away. We can come and visit you. Yeah for lights at the end for the tunnel. December will be great for us too. If you need help with anything, please let us know.
